Connecting with Community – Based Organizations

Connecting with Community – Based Organizations

At the heart of every municipal and county government lies the commitment to serve the community. This commitment underscores the importance of establishing a robust support system for individuals during their times of need. While government entities may not always be optimally structured to address these needs, collaboration with leadership and community partners can help overcome many challenges.

In this presentation, we will explore the process of actively listening to leadership and community members to identify needs, evaluating those needs effectively, securing partnerships, and fostering sustainable collaborations that will support the community in the long term.

Jesse Cuomo is a committed public employee and community leader with a background in the nonprofit sector. A graduate of Oregon State University, Jesse commenced his career with mission-driven non-profit organizations, acquiring invaluable experience in service delivery and community engagement. Currently, as the Community Services Director, Jesse manages a diverse portfolio that encompasses the Library, Recreation, Parks, Community Relations, and Nonprofit Partnerships. With a strong passion for fostering inclusive and vibrant communities, Jesse remains dedicated to driving collaborative initiatives that enhance the lives of Woodburn residents.
